Botanical Gardens

The Sunday before school started, (2 weeks ago, I realize that I am a little late in posting this) Kiara and I visited Dunedin's famous botanical gardens. It was an absolutely beautiful day, perfect for a long walk through the semi-famous park. According to their website, the botanical garden "Features 25 organized plant collections, herbaceous borders, formal gardens, and a rock garden, along with many specimen trees." Kiara and I did not visit all of the collections (Because the park is enormous!), but we did get to see the Rhododendron Dell, the herb garden, the rose garden, the South African collection, and the "jungle" greenhouse.

Check out the pictures!

K and C: forgot to pronounce your photos fantastic/fabulous/gorgeous. Be sure to bring back samples of each of those flowers, okay, so that they can be planted, say, in the boulevard at 2263 Commonwealth....

Hi Gr. Barb,
No the photos were not there right away as they were in the process of being uploaded as I wrote the post.

K and C: I'm not done with this one yet: what kind of tree are you hugging, Kiara? Tom L. said maybe huorn or ent; I know ent from C. S. Lewis (right? or is it Tolkien?), but don't recall huorn. In any case, I love how Kiara's has her tongue arranged, as though it will help her stretch farther. I printed and 8 1/2 x 11 of it, but I must need to put in a new color cartridge, as the tree is purple. Am enjoying your latest pictures, also. Next ones maybe of the campus? Love, Gr. Barb
